Due Diligence / M+A Strategy / Recruiting
Electro-mechanical capital equipment primarily for surgical devices
A private investment arm of a family office required operational M+A Due Diligence on their anticipated acquisition of a contract manufacturer of electro-mechanical equipment. Furthermore, they needed a comprehensive analysis of the electro-mechanical contract manufacturing industry as well as a high-level roadmap on how to grow the business once the acquisition was complete.
How Did BCS Help?
BCS visited the target operation and provided a high-level assessment of the facility: strengths, weaknesses, areas for improvement and a basic benchmark of how it compared to its peer group
In addition, BCS prepared a 75-slide deck providing a competitive landscape of the industry, growth drivers, customer analysis and a highly actionable strategy to become a recognized leader in the industry.
The client used the BCS deck to successfully secure funding from banks and other investors for the acquisition of the business. Post-transaction the business nearly tripled revenue by acquiring a business highlighted by BCS in its report. The company also attempted to acquire another business in the BCS report. Additionally, BCS recruited the VP of Engineering, a highly visible role in this engineering focused business.
